Jitterbug Socks Finished

My Jitterbug Socks are now finished.
Yarn: Colinette Jitterbug
Colour: Lagoon
DPNs: 2.5mm
As you can see I didn't end up with very much yarn left over, so I thought I'd weigh the little ball to see exactly how much was left. There was only 7g left over!! Eeek! I've only got a size 4 feet so my socks are really quite small, although I may have used more yarn because I'm a tight knitter. I used a basic sock pattern that I use for all my plain socks and used 2.5mm dpns.

Basket Weave Rib Socks Finished

Well I finally finished my Basket Weave Rib Socks last week but it's taken me until now to take a photo of them to post on my blog!! This is the first pattern I've knitted from the fabulous Sensational Knitted Socks book by Charlene Schurch. The yarn used was Sunshine Yarn in the colourway Reef. I forgot to check out the new colourways that were listed this week and missed out on some lovely colours that were snapped up straight away including the elusive Gryffindor colourway that I've wanted for ages!! There are also some Christmasy colourways including Christmas Morning and Mistletoe that look gorgeous.

Jitterbug Sock

I was eager to see what the new Colinette Jitterbug Sock Yarn knitted up like, so I cast on for a pair of socks this week. This is as far as I've got so far but you can see how the colours are knitting up. The yarn feels lovely to knit with. I'll try to make more progress over the weekend as I've finally finished my Basket Weave Rib Socks that I've been working on for ages. Well, they're nearly finished... I've just got to graft the toe of one of them and then I'll post a pic of the finished pair. I would have finished them last night but I was watching The State Within and had to concentrate on the programme as it was so confusing so I put my knitting away.
