Well, as it's
Socktoberfest I decided to cast on some more socks! I have only managed to knit one sock of my Basket Weave Ribs socks so far but decided to start some more socks. The yarn above is October's Posh Yarns Sock Club yarn. The colour is called Weekend in Vermont! I decided to try the
Dublin Bay Sock pattern from Mossy Cottage. I'm using 2.25mm metal needles. This will be my first time using metal needles and 2.25mm sized ones at that. Normally I knit all my socks using 2.5mm bamboo needles. The metals ones are taking some getting used to. They're longer than my bamboos and rather slippery too!

I also cast on this sock too. It's another Posh Yarn Sock Club yarn in the colour Hedgerow. I'm just knitting a plain sock on this one. Ideal for when I'm watching the t.v. I love the way this yarn feels. I've only knit one pair of socks using Posh Yarns sock yarn so far but I love wearing them. They are SO soft! So I decided to knit up some of my sock club yarn so I've got more yummy socks to wear now that the weather has turned cooler.

You are the Sock Queen! I love both pairs, the yarns are gorgeous. Especially like the Weekend in Vermont, very autumnal. You're very brave trying out metal pins, I love the bamboo, very grippy. Must go and investigate this Socktoberfest thing (although no way I can join as I'm such a slow sock knitter!).
That Weekend in Vermont yarn is just gorgeous, and both socks are looking great.
I have been looking at all your socks! Lovely and so many of them. I like the look of the Dublin bay pattern and may have to try that one!
They're both lovely. I'm into autumn colours just now in a big way so I like the top pair best at the moment!
ooo, nice socks. I love the hedgerow colour, my pair is my favourite so far.
Both socks look fab, I wish I'd joined the poshyarns sock club now.
